By identifying strengths as well as areas of difficulty, assessments inform practical strategies, targeted support, and meaningful next steps, promoting inclusion, early intervention, and positive outcomes for every learner.

Exam Access Arrangements

Exam access arrangements help ensure that children and young people can show what they know in exams without being at a disadvantage due to difficulties such as slow processing, attention, literacy, or coordination. Arrangements may include extra time, rest breaks, a reader, or the use of a laptop. They are not an advantage, but a way of removing barriers so that assessments are fair and reflect a pupil's true ability.
